    Acetic Acid Bacteria is an international Open Access, peer-reviewed journal publishing original research articles, reviews, brief reports and letters to the Editor in the areas of physiology, taxonomy, biochemistry, genetics, genomics, biotechnology and industrial applications of acetic acid bacteria. The journal aims to make significant contributions to basic knowledge as well as to applied field. Within that framework the publication of articles that report novel findings in support of the following subjects: acetic acid bacteria as biocatalysts, interactions with their environments, function as spoiling or intentionally added to foods, nitrogen-fixing activity and emerging roles (pathogenicity, discovery and exploitation of new metabolic activities) is encouraged. All published articles will then immediately distributed to CrossRef, DOAJ, and other available online indexes.

  • Advances in Oceanography and Limnology

    Advances in Oceanography and Limnology (AIOL Journal) is the official publication of the Italian Association of Limnology and Oceanology (A.I.O.L.).


    The AIOL Journal publishes original research articles and reviews on different topics and novel discoveries in the fields of limnology and oceanography. Papers may deal with different or single physical, chemical and biological aspects, including biomolecules, populations and communities, ecosystem functioning and interactions between global change and ecosystems. Environmental monitoring and studies of regional importance will be considered only if they contribute to the general advance of aquatic sciences. Multidisciplinary articles linking different scientific disciplines (e.g., community ecology and metabolomic/toxicology, ecology and phylogenetic, water quality and economy…) are equally considered. Particularly welcomed are studies focusing on marine and freshwater ecosystems.


    Two regular issues of the Advances in Oceanography and Limnology are published each year. In addition, Special Issues and Proceedings that focus on topics that are timely and of interest to a significant number of aquatic scientists are published.   • Malaria Reports

    Malaria Reports is a peer-reviewed international medical journal devoted entirely to the study diagnosis, and treatment of malaria. The journal covers all aspects of malaria, including the pathophysiology, diagnosis, classification, epidemiology, and treatment of malaria for physicians and medical scientists. The journal tries to attract papers on malaria in its broadest sense. The journal welcomes papers that: provide malaria burden estimates and ways to improve the burden estimation (i.e. using optimal diagnostic tests), provide a better understanding of malaria, especially explaining the complex interaction between humans, vectors, climate and the environment. Studies incorporating e.g. socio-economic determinants are strongly encouraged. In line with this objective, we will appreciate papers reporting on interventions against malaria and clinically relevant information that will directly improve the care of patients with malaria, report on existing malaria information systems and how these can be improved. Within this context, major health care interventions, usually from a public health perspective, are welcome as well. All papers will be reviewed by experts in the field, but we articulate that we will publish each submission as long as it is methodologically correct, interesting and sound.

Aim of the Journal is to contribute to bridging the gap between basic research and clinical applications from an interdisciplinary perspective. Translational Medicine Reports addresses researchers and managers in academia, biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry researchers, physician scientists, etc. Original Articles with interdisciplinary topics, Reviews, Editorials, From Bench-to-Bedside Articles, Conference Proceedings, and Letters to the Editor are welcome. Every article published in the Journal will be peer-reviewed by experts in the field and selected by members of the Editorial Board. 


    The journal is completely free: no charge for publication, as it is supported by private funds.

  • Veins and Lymphatics

    Veins and Lymphatics is an international, Open Access peer-reviewed journal which publishes scientific papers about venous and lymphatic diseases. Open issues and debates about epidemiology, anatomy, pathophysiology, etiology, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of vein and lymphatic diseases are constantly present in our project. A "transversal" vision of phlebology and lymphology is privileged, without preconception or barriers. Aiming at enhancing phlebolymphology culture diffusion worldwide, on a free access basis, Veins and Lymphatics wants to exploit internet capabilities for a large, quick and low-cost dissemination of educational and research inputs. Many specialties without one leading, are involved in this field of interest; we will try to encourage the clever connections between them for mutual advantage. A constant evolution has characterized Phlebology and Lymphology in the last decades so that “truisms” have been revised and criticized (see dogma of saphenectomy with junction high ligation). Novelties seem to come from different corners of the world, from doctors who are part of the scientific establishment, but also from those who have enough courage to break the conventional concepts. This journal will represent a medium for the rapid diffusion of these new ideas, on the basis of sound data and speculations. Nonetheless, “the new” advances whereas it is based on older fundaments, so we are not going to forget the strength of traditions and we will keep attention on the past acquisitions, to gain experience and impulse or, why not, to learn from others’ and our errors. 


    Veins and Lymphatics publishes original articles, editorials, reviews, short reports and case reports, as well as invited commentaries.
